Signs You Might Need Rodent Control for Your Commercial Property

Nobody ever wants to hear they have rodent activity in their workspace, especially if you work in the food industry. Rodents are responsible for the spread of several viruses and parasites. You may never see a mouse or rat unless the infestation is severe. That’s why our Commercial Pest Professionals provided us with a few signs to look out for if you think you have a rodent infestation:

  • Rodent droppings around food packages, under sinks, or cabinets.
  • Nesting material such as shredded paper, fabric, straw, or any dried plant matter.
  • Signs of chewing on food packaging, walls, or floors.
  • Stale smells coming from covered areas.

If you notice any of these signs, our Commercial Pest Professionals first recommend eliminating their sources of food, water, and shelter.

  • Dry up water sources by repairing leaky faucets or pipes.
  • Secure rubbish, especially old trash.
  • Do not leave employee-shared snacks out overnight, instead, seal properly or place them in the refrigerator.
  • Seal any cracks in walls or flooring inside and outside the office space (entrance and exit points).

What Can I Do Next?

The steps above are just a starting point for preventing your office from rodent activity. At Waynes, we offer Envirosmart, our intelligent pest control around the clock.

SMART is an intelligent system that keeps an eye on the things you don’t want to see. It works by constantly monitoring and instantly reacting, preventing costly infestations in an environmentally-friendly way.

How Does It Work?

Step One: First, we will inspect your site, study any available documentation on the property, and interview any key persons. Based on this analysis, we will define an optimal plan for your business.

Step Two: Second, we will install a system of strategically placed sensors that will detect infestations and non-toxic traps that efficiently deal with the rodents. The SMART units are connected and constantly report back to our SMART data hub.

Step Three: We will conduct regular inspections and empty traps when needed, analyze any activity reported, and provide you with any necessary information. Once any activity is recorded to our data hub, we proceed immediately, so you can relax and get back to enjoying work.

Cleaning the drain you can see does not always reach…

What Attracts Ants to Kitchens in Chattanooga Homes

Ants find their way into Chattanooga kitchens for a straightforward reason: a scout locates food or water, lays down a scent trail on the way back to the nest, and dozens of workers follow that invisible highway back to the same spot. Wiping up the ants you see does not erase the trail, and as…
