How Often Should Pest Control Be Done?

Bugs are believed to have been around since the beginning of time, and unfortunately, it looks like they’re not going anywhere.

We know we aren’t the only ones who wish mosquitoes would go extinct. Until that day, our job is to protect your home from the endless number of pests looking for shelter, a snack, or just don’t understand that no invitation = no entry.

That’s where pest control comes in.

If Pest Control Works, Why Do I Have to Keep Doing It?

Pest control is effective, but it’s not a one-and-done solution. Think of it like cleaning your kids’ playroom. An hour (or two) of hard work, and it looks good as new. Maybe it even lasts until the next day. But at some point, your kids will rediscover their dolls, trucks, and those infamous battery-powered noise machines. Before you know it, the playroom could use another deep clean.

Pest control is the same way. While all insects are NOT what you want to see in their home, they each have their own unique needs.

Reasons For Recurring Pest Control

Some pests, like roaches, are annoyingly resilient. One treatment might affect them, but it won’t completely eliminate them.

Ants, on the other hand, are easier to deal with upfront. But, as “the most numerous insect in the world,” they’ll be back. Good thing Waynes will be ready!

We also use an indoor/outdoor approach to ensure our pest control is as effective as possible. Your first pest control service will be done inside and outside of your home to eliminate the immediate problems.

In the treatments following, our Service Professionals will focus on the exterior of your home. Because 95% of all pest problems originate outside the home, this allows us to create an ever-growing barrier to keep pest problems from even starting.

So we know recurring pest control is important. But how often should pest control be done?

How Often Do You Need Pest Control?

The exact answer to this question may depend on the location of your home and the urgency of your needs, but the best way to ensure minimal to no pest problems is to find a company that offers year-round pest prevention (yes, even during the winter). This minimizes the risk of pest problems returning.

If you want to know more about the benefits of recurring pest control or want to talk about the pest control options we offer, contact us here or call us today at 866.WAYNES1.
